Chobe Elephant Camp is located on the western edge of the Chobe River Front in Chobe National Park. The camp's spacious guest chalets offer a high level of comfort with the flair and appearance of a traditional African wilderness homestead. They lie high up on the edge of a rocky ridge and offer a fantastic view over the floodplains of the famous Chobe River. All chalets have their own bathroom and a small veranda.

Daily excursions into the wilderness of the Chobe River Front and the Chobe National Park provide many unforgettable wildlife moments. The Chobe National Park has the highest elephant population in Africa and is also home to leopards, lions, buffalos, various antelopes, hundreds of bird species and many other animals. Game drives, walks and river cruises will bring you very close to this rich diversity of species.

The Camp

Guest accommodation

At Chobe Elephant Camp, guests are accommodated in eleven comfortable chalets, each with its own bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers. One of the chalets serves as family accommodation, which is slightly larger with two bedrooms and can accommodate four to five people, depending on the age of the guests. Each of the chalets has a small veranda facing the front with a breathtaking view of the Chobe River Front. The chalets also have mosquito nets, a socket for charging small electrical appliances and sufficient storage space.

Central facilities

The semi-open main area of the Chobe Elephant Camp consists of a lounge with seating and a dining area to share daily meals. In front of the main area there is a fireplace with further seating possibilities from which one can enjoy a wonderful view over the spectacular Chobe Riverfront. Furthermore, the camp has a small pool, which promises cooling with breathtaking views. Children are welcome on request, but there is no childcare. Not all activities are suitable or permitted for (young) children. One should seek advice on this in advance.

Activities

To explore the nature and wildlife of the Chobe National Park, game drives are conducted in the morning and at noon. Canoeing on the Chobe Floodplains and boat trips on the Chobe River allow you to explore the fascinating water worlds, but these activities are primarily based on the water level. If you are particularly interested in local culture and life, you can take a trip to the nearby village and gain an insight into the way of life of the villagers. If you book in advance, a day trip to the natural wonder of the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe is also possible.
