Staying at Ilala Lodge Hotel

Location

The Ilala Lodge Hotel is located close to the Victoria Falls National Park. The falls are so close that you can see and even hear the waterfall spray from your accommodation. If you walk along the Mosi-Oa-Tunya road, after about ten minutes you reach the entrance gate and can admire the majestic Victoria Falls for a small fee. The city centre of Victoria Falls is only a short walk away.

The rooms of the Ilala Lodge Hotel have a spacious bedroom, an adjoining bathroom with bathtub or shower, air conditioning, fan, safe and a small coffee/tea station. The rooms are spread over three levels: the two standard suites are on the top floor of the original building, while the two executive suites are on the top floor of the newer part. The deluxe rooms are on the first floor; the standard rooms are on the first floor and the ground floor with access to the garden.

Central facilities

The Ilala Lodge Hotel consists of the main building with reception, bar and "Palm Restaurant" as well as a newer building wing. The hotel also has a small souvenir shop. The beautiful garden with sun terrace and swimming pool invites you to relax. Occasionally wild animals from the adjacent Victoria Falls National Park graze on the lawn. Guests also have access to an ATM and WiFi throughout the complex. A laundry service can be used for a small fee.

Activities

While a visit to the spectacular Victoria Falls is certainly the focus of a stay at the Ilala Lodge Hotel, there are many other ways to spend your free time. Guests can book boat trips on the Zambezi, helicopter flights over the waterfalls, white water rafting, safaris in nearby national parks or trips to the city (e.g. for market or museum visits). The range of activities is immense and leaves nothing to be desired. Activities usually have to be paid for separately.
