Review: My Journey with Natucate - I love PWE

Since my first trip to Africa in 2017, this continent has never let go of me – I was instantly and completely captivated. After many self-drive journeys, I eventually realised that I wanted to experience Africa on a much deeper level.

Not just to see it, but to truly feel it.

I was searching for something more meaningful – something that would bring me closer to nature and wildlife.

That’s exactly what I found with Natucate. Honestly, after my very first phone call with Daniel, I already knew: this is exactly my thing. And that’s precisely how it turned out.

The Private Wilderness Experience (PWE) is so much more than just a trip. It creates this profound sense of awe and humility, combined with a deep awareness that out there in the bush, you are merely a guest.

Small, almost insignificant… and yet completely overwhelmed by the vastness and intensity of the experience. That is exactly what I had been looking for.

These breathtaking landscapes, feeling the wilderness with all your senses, and sharing it with people who feel the same way – that is what makes every single PWE so special.

I’ve been fortunate enough to experience three so far, and each one had its own deeply moving moments that are forever etched in my memory.

Unforgettable Moments in the wild

Evenings around the campfire… almost impossible to put into words.

Bush walks in Kwapa… an intense, full sensory experience.

Sleeping out in the bush… truly unforgettable.

The arrival of the water in the Okavango Delta… indescribable.

Sunrise in the wilderness… a magical moment.

Encounters with elephants… deeply emotional.

Guides & Learning during our journey

Always by our side: our guides (the best!). Their intuition, knowledge, calmness, and way of observing and understanding nature – every single day I learned something new from them. They completely changed the way I see the natural world.

Finding a deeper connection

My connection to Africa – to its landscapes and especially its wildlife – has grown immensely through these experiences. Out in the bush, I feel incredibly privileged every single time. It is a gift to be a silent observer, part of this eternal cycle of nature.

At the same time, it constantly reminds me how important it is to protect these habitats – for both humans and animals. And honestly, it was only through my travels with Natucate that I truly understood how naturally and often carelessly we treat our resources in the Western world. Not out of bad intention, but because we often lack awareness.

For me, the PWE is not consumption. It is connection. An experience you embrace with an open heart – and one that changes you.

What remains for me

I’ve taken countless impressions, emotions, and new perspectives from my PWE experiences. They have made me more mindful, more humble – and closer to simplicity.

The PWE has shown me that everything is connected…

...and that what truly matters is often found in the quietest moments.
